I know, I was as surprised as you to learn that astrology works. It’s not black magic. It’s not even regular magic. But it is a kind of special knowledge and perspective. A birth chart can be read like an x-ray of the psyche. My approach to astrology uses the language of psychology, mythology and spirituality. A person’s birth chart reveals strengths, weaknesses, biases, talents and can give insight into a soul’s journey. While not everyone is seeking that level of understanding, I have found that it is always a compelling story for people to hear. Astrology can also be a highly practical, expedient way of bringing a person into focus.
Gaining this unique and unbiased look at yourself, your course and what lies ahead can be immensely helpful. Astrology shows the distinct chapters in a person’s life, times to end things and times for new directions. Even in hard times, there are always areas of expansion and opportunity that can be identified. Most powerfully, astrology offers context, meaning and direction.
I try to demystify astrology because it actually doesn’t need all the woo. It can be spookily accurate but it shouldn’t be a supernatural ego trip for the astrologer or the client. At its best, it offers grounded insight, and while it actually can anticipate things, it’s not fortune-telling because people aren’t fated. You can’t blame the planets. There is always choice and personal agency, and my aim is to help people work with astrological influences to understand their lives better and make wise, fruitful decisions.

Natal Astrology
You you you.You are a reflection of the place and moment you took your first breath. A slight simplification, but understanding your birth chart is like seeing a blueprint for your best life. This kind of astrology gives a unique perspective on your potentials, strengths, drives, and challenges.
Synastry
This is the astrology of relationship. Partnership is like mixing two chemical concoctions and synastry describes the reaction. It’s a way of assessing core chemistry, patterns and dynamics. Questions like: What are people’s basic needs and whose needs and ways of relating are being met? How do you grow in relationship? What are we here for as a couple?
Timing
For every thing there is a season. It’s possible to examine your chart in terms of what’s being activated now and in the future. This is how as astrologers work with the universe pragmatically, rather than a psychological or spiritual lens.
Growth
What are you doing? Applying the principles of Evolutionary Astrology can reveal the deepest purpose of your life and what your Self is striving for. Facets of Buddhism and depth psychology. The deepest form of self-knowledge astrology can offer.

In astrology, a person’s second Saturn Return (age 58–59 yrs) is often seen as a natural end and beginning. I see mine as a clarion call to perform a service for people, and I’m trying to heed that call. I’ve studied and practised astrology since I was a kid, reading every book I could find and calculating charts by hand before computers. It never ceases to amaze. I interpret birth charts in an effort to help people, emphasizing personal growth and self-knowledge mixed with applicable counsel. I live in Toronto with my wife, Maya and our atomic dog and where I also work in branding and creative direction.
